SECS B25 PERFORMER ANNO ARTICLE (1)

First performers announced!

The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard today announce that JADE, Myles Smith, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and The Last Dinner Party are the first artists confirmed to perform at this year’s show. The event, which takes place on Saturday 1st March at The O2 arena, will be hosted by Jack Whitehall and broadcast exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX.

Myles Smith has already taken home this year’s BRITs Rising Star trophy and is now also nominated in three main award categories: Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Pop Act. Also securing multiple nominations are JADE (Song of the Year and Pop Act) and The Last Dinner Party (Mastercard Album of the Year, Group of the Year, Best New Artist and Alternative / Rock Act), whilst Teddy Swims’ ‘Lose Control’ is nominated for International Song of the Year, as is Shaboozey with ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.

JADE said: “I’ve honestly manifested every day since the release of Angel Of My Dreams to perform at the BRIT Awards. I cried when I found out. I can’t wait to bring a huge, chaotic pop moment to the BRITs stage!”

Myles Smith said: "Performing at the BRITs is such an incredible honour, and it feels surreal to even say it out loud. To think I was sitting at home watching it last year, and now I’m performing the very next year... it’s just insane. Grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to step onto that stage."

Shaboozey said: "I’m beyond grateful and humbled to not only be nominated for a BRIT Award but to take the stage. This past year has been huge for me with my records getting love from all over the world and now I can celebrate with my friends and fans in London”

Teddy Swims said: “I’m so excited to be performing at the BRITs! What an honour, I love you so much!”

The Last Dinner Party said: “We are SO excited to be performing at the 2025 BRIT Awards!!!! At our first BRITs last year we were in total awe at the scale and spectacle of the performances, so we can’t wait to bring our own show to such an iconic stage! <33”

JADE, AKA the artist formerly known as Jade Thirlwall released her internet-breaking debut solo single ‘Angel of My Dreams’ in the summer of 2024; the frenetically shapeshifting, gloriously OTT banger explored her love/hate relationship with a pop industry she's been at the heart of since her former band Little Mix launched in 2011. Inspired by risk-taking, big statement solo singles, ‘Angel of My Dreams’ was co-written in LA alongside Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso), Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris' Miracle) and producer Mike Sabath (RAYE). Built around a cheeky, knowing sample of Sandie Shaw's 1967 hit Puppet on a String, lyrically JADE wanted to reflect on her time in an industry that has brought her both unimaginable highs and deep lows. ‘Angel of My Dreams’ is Jade delivering Big Pop Girl Energy.

Luton’s rising star Myles Smith taught himself to play the guitar along with the piano, and began performing on the local open-mic circuit from the age of 12, at pubs and Irish bars. In 2020, Myles started uploading cover songs to TikTok before, in 2022, he went viral with his version of the Neighbourhood’s ‘Sweater Weather’, and then again with his take on Amber Run’s ‘I Found’. After releasing a handful of gorgeous, acclaimed original songs like ‘Solo’ and ‘My Home’, he signed to Sony’s RCA label in 2023. Now, aged 26, there’s a core of honesty in Myles Smith’s songwriting – perhaps because, through open mics and internet communities, he understands music as a way of drawing people together; of self-expression and communion. It’s evident on the soaring ‘Stargazing’, his 2024 smash hit earlier which charted and went platinum globally and, at the time of writing, is closing in on 634 million streams on Spotify alone. He has released his second EP, A Minute…, a magical collection that cements Myles as a stirring, timeless pop songwriter to be reckoned with. The EP explores fleeting encounters that have the power to change the course of your entire life.

Singer-songwriter Shaboozey is building his own world,  carving a lane in the alternative country and hip-hop space. Born to parents of Nigerian descent and raised in the small town of Woodbridge, VA, the multi-faceted artist grew up on an eclectic mix of music encompassing classic hip-hop and R&B, to country and blues icons like JohnnyCash, KennyRogers, GarthBrooks, and LeadBelly, to master lyricists, such as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. A true crossover artist, he began his epic rise to stardom with two standout features on Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER — the only artist with multiple appearances on the album. His latest body of work, the critically acclaimed RIAA-gold certified masterpiece Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 and was praised by Rolling Stone for “honoring country tradition and moving it forward.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims found himself on the path towards self-forgiveness when he started putting pen to paper for his debut studio album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). Though he’s released music and toured the world since making his debut in 2019, the 31-year-old artist has spent much of the last four years writing his way towards an album that would tell this story – his story – to the people who were ready to receive it. I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) includes his multi-platinum global smash hits, ‘Lose Control’ and ‘The Door.’ The self-taught Swims has swiftly risen to the forefront of the music scene in 2024 with record breaking songs, iconic performances and global recognition. I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) was accompanied by a sold out UK / European arena tour. With a voice that effortlessly blends genres, including R&B, soul, and pop, Teddy Swims has captivated listeners with his raw emotion. His voice, full of soulful resonance, carries the weight of lived experience and his lyrics delve into themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Last year’s BRITs Rising Star winners The Last Dinner Party had a stratospheric 2024 as their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, hit the top of the Official Album Charts and their unique brand of baroque-pop made them the UK’s most talked about young band. Known already for their story-telling and myth-building, The Last Dinner Party are unafraid to leave audiences on a cliffhanger. With a unified sparkle in their eyes it’s evident they will not rest in this current incarnation, that they are destined to evolve and change as musicians at the same rapid pace that they will grow at as people. Inspired by the romantic, the grotesque and the gothic, they share with artists like Mary Shelley a desire to create something both beautiful and horrifying -however they intend instead to be the crack in the sky. A shining, joyful light in the darkness.
