RAYE takes Artist of the Year!
RAYE has done it again! The London-based artist has won her fourth award at The BRIT Awards 2024. This time, she's taken Artist of the Year!
"Thank you to the BRITS! There are so many ridiculously incredible artists tonight, so this is especially overwhelming," said the 26-year-old.
RAYE had an amazing year in 2023. In February 2023, she debuted her first album, 'My 21st Century Blues', which charted at number-one on the UK Independent Albums Chart, and number-two on the Official Albums Chart. Since then, she has toured the world on her two tours 'The Story so Far' and 'My 21st Century Blues', performed at Glastonbury 2023, and in October 2023 released an orchestral recording of her album from the Royal Albert Hall.
She has already had a prosperous career as an artist, having previously written songs for JLO and Beyoncè. As a performer, RAYE released her first EP, 'Welcome to the Winter' at the age of 17 and later went on to collaborate with Jax Jones, Mabel and Jonas Blue. More recently, she has released 'The Weekend' with Stormzy and 'Prada' with 20-year-old producer Cassö, and D-Block Europe.
RAYE has already won four out of her record-breaking seven awards including, Best New Artist and R&B Act. Supporting her tonight are her best friends, her grandmother, and her team.
RAYE takes the award over Arlo Parks, Central Cee, Dave and Dua Lipa.
