Becky Hill x Chase & Status confirmed to perform at The BRITs 2024
The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard today announce that boundary-breaking two-time BRITs Dance Act winner Becky Hill and trailblazing electronic music duo Chase & Status will be performing together at this year’s BRIT Awards, taking place on Saturday 2nd March.Becky is nominated for the third consecutive year for Dance Act, which she won in 2022 and 2023, whilst Chase & Status are shortlisted for Group of the Year for the second time, having first been nominated in this category in 2012. Becky performed at The BRITs in 2023 alongside David Guetta.
Becky said: “I can’t wait to perform again on the BRITs and it’s been difficult trying to top flying from the ceiling of the O2 last year, but I’m excited about what we have planned for this year’s performance. I’ve been a fan of Chase & Status my whole life, so to have them on stage performing with me is going to be really special. It’s a real celebration of drum & bass - my favourite genre of music!”
Chase & Status said: "For us as producers and artists, being nominated for a BRIT is a special thing. It is a representation of where British music is at, at the highest level, so to be in that category is an honour. Also to be performing with Becky, a fellow BRIT nominee, is pretty special too."
Becky Hill’s eagerly anticipated second album Believe Me Now?, will be out May 31st through Polydor Records/Eko Records, which will cement her status as one of dance music’s biggest influential voices. She also recently announced a huge UK and Ireland arena headline tour, and has exceeded 10 billion career streams to date plus six UK Top 10 smash hits. 2023 was a remarkable year for Becky. The year was bookended with two prestigious music awards: the BRIT Award for Best Dance Act (her second year in a row) and Best Vocalist at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards. And in-between, the year delivered highlight-after-highlight: a killer Glastonbury set, a summer YOU/ME/US residency in Ibiza, exceeding a billion domestic career streams and winning Attitude Magazine's Music Award. She also kickstarted the second series of her critically acclaimed podcast The Art of Rave with dream guest Fatboy Slim, after its initial series had featured influential names such as Roni Size, Fabio & Grooverider, Sister Bliss, Andy C and Pete Tong. On the live front, immense demand for Becky’s autumn UK and Ireland arena tour saw 80,000 of its 130,000 tickets sell-out in just three days, leading to the addition of a series of outdoor summer shows alongside select festival dates which include a headline slot at Manchester’s Parklife Festival. Currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, she will also play her debut headline tour of mainland Europe in April, which hits seven countries.
Celebrating over 15 years in the game, Chase and Status are a leading talent in the Electronic scene. They were the first UK Electronic act to headline the O2 arena, have had over 2 Billion streams, 2.6 million album sales, sold millions of tickets worldwide, have headlined Glastonbury on the Other Stage, headlined Reading & Leeds and have collaborated with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Major Lazer, Nile Rogers, Tom Grennan, Slaves and many more. Hot off the back of a viral Boiler Room performance in 2023, the duo released their 10-track LP “2 Ruff Vol 1”, which flew out the gates with hit single, “Baddadan” which has spent over 15 weeks and counting in the Top 10 of the UK charts and has already been certified gold. A sold-out UK tour is also underway this month with shows in Cardiff, London and Manchester.
This incredible new music lands in the wake of What Came Before. Chase and Status’s sixth studio album which charted #4 in the official UK album chart. Consisting of 13 tracks, What Came Before distilled 15 years of unparalleled experiences into a bold, invigorating album; informed by global tours, sold out headline shows, five albums, multiple awards, chart success, underground kudos, top tier collaborations and remixes, and, above all else, that unwavering dance floor energy that remains as tangible and transformative now as it has since the very beginning.
