Male Solo Artist nominees announced!

The 2020 Male Solo Artist nominees, in association with Amazon Music, are:

Dave
Harry Styles
Lewis Capaldi
Michael Kiwanuka
Stormzy

Brixton-born Dave and Scotland's Lewis Capaldi are leading the pack with four nominations each in Male Solo Artist, Best New Artist, Song of the Year and the prestigious Mastercard Album of the Year. It's been a strong year for both, with numerous accolades and chart-toppers under their belt.

Also competing for Male Solo Artist is Stormzy, as a two-time BRIT Award winner, he'll be competing for a third and he finds himself with two other nominations this year in the Song of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year categories, with his new album, 'Heavy Is The Head'.

Harry Styles is no stranger to a BRIT Award, with seven wins as part of One Direction, and as a solo artist, he won British Video of the Year in 2017. He has also been nominated for Mastercard Album of the Year for 2020.

Michael Kiwanuka is also a strong contender in this category, having been previously shortlisted for Critics' Choice in 2012. This year he finds himself also nominated for Mastercard Album of the Year, for his self-titled album.
