British Artist Video Of The Year Nominations Announced

The winner of the British Artist Video award is decided by you!

Once the vote opens, one act will be eliminated each week until just five remain in the final on the night of the ceremony. The winner will be decided via a live social vote during The BRITs ITV broadcast on 21 February.

There is significant crossover between this category and the nominees for British Single. Calvin Harris, Clean Bandit, Jonas Blue and Little Mix are all nominated in both categories, for a total of two nominations each in 2018. Calvin Harris and Little Mix have been nominated in this category previously - Calvin four times, and Little Mix twice.

Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa are also nominated in both British Single and British Artist Video this year. Ed has been up for British Artist Video twice before, and is nominated for Best Male and Mastercard British Album in 2018. This is Dua’s first BRITs, having previously been shortlisted for the Critics’ Choice award in 2017. She is nominated for five BRITs this year.

Anne-Marie was also shortlisted for Critics’ Choice in 2017. This is her first BRIT award nomination.

This award will be hotly contested between Liam Payne and Harry Styles - before their 2015 hiatus, their band One Direction won the British Artist Video in every single year that they were nominated, a total of four times! Both artists are nominated for the first time in this category as solo artists. ZAYN, who was a member of One Direction for two of their four British video wins, is nominated in this category for the second time in consecutive years.
