Justin Bieber and Coldplay added to the line-up!
First we brought you Adele. And now we have a double treat for you! We are beyond thrilled to announce that British superstars Coldplay and global phenomenon Justin Bieber will be joining Adele at the UK’s biggest night in music in February at The O2.BRITs Chairman Max Lousada said: “The BRITs are excited to welcome two of the biggest acts in the world right now to next year’s awards - Coldplay, who are undoubtedly one of our greatest music success stories, and pop sensation Justin Bieber, who will be coming to London for his first ever BRITs performance. Next year’s awards is shaping up to be a fantastic night of British and international music.”
Coldplay, who will headline the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on February 7, return to the BRITs to perform for the first time since 2013. With six Number One albums to date the band earned their first BRIT nomination in 2001 and have since been nominated 21 times. Equally renowned for their spectacular live shows Coldplay have remained one of the biggest bands in the world for over a decade.
Justin Bieber has had three No. 1 singles this year with ‘What Do You Mean?’, ‘Sorry’ and recent smash hit ‘Love Yourself’. In November, eight songs from his latest album ‘Purpose’ all charted in the Top 40 making Bieber the first artist ever to have so many simultaneous entries. He also became the first living artist to knock himself off the top spot when ‘Love Yourself’ replaced ‘Sorry’, and the first artist to have three consecutive weeks at No. 1 and No. 2 since The Beatles in 1968. He won the BRIT Award for International Breakthrough Act in 2011 and his 2016 performance will be his first live BRITs performance.
