INTERNATIONAL GROUP NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED
It’s a clash of the titans in the category for International Group with A Tribe Called Quest, Drake & Future, Kings of Leon, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Twenty One Pilots going head to head.This is Kings of Leon’s sixth nomination in this category, an award they won back in 2009. Their seventh studio album ‘WALLS’ went straight to No. 1 in the UK last year.
This is a first time nomination for Twenty One Pilots, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Drake & Future. Drake is also nominated this year in the International Male Solo Artist Category.
It is also the first time that A Tribe Called Quest have been nominated for a BRIT Award. After the sad passing of founding member Phife Dawg last year, the band released their sixth studio album, ‘We Got It From Here… Thank U For Your Service’, which features BRITs favourites, Kanye West, Elton John, Jack White and Kendrick Lamar.
The BRIT Awards 2017 take place at The O2, London on 22 February and will be broadcast live on ITV. You can see all the nominations here.
