The BRITs are back!
The 34th BRIT Awards will take place on February 19, 2014, at London’s O2 Arena and are set to be the biggest and best they’ve ever been.With Arctic Monkeys opening the event and Katy Perry also confirmed to play, the show will once again be exclusively broadcast live on ITV – who will also televise the BRITs Nominations launch in January and continue as broadcast partner through to 2016.
Actor and comedian James Corden will host proceedings for the fifth and final time, as he invites the globe’s biggest music stars onto the stage to receive the new look BRITs statue which has been styled by fashion icon Philip Treacy – famous for designing some of the most revered hats including the one worn by Lady Gaga to the BRITs 2010.
MasterCard will continue as title sponsor of the Awards and AEG have also extended their partnership with the BRITs for the next three years.
BRITs Chairman Christian Tattersfield, Co-CEO Warner Music UK and Co-Chairman, Warner Bros. Records UK, said: “We are extremely ambitious for the 2014 show, showcasing global superstars and celebrating the incredible success of British music.
