International superstar Courtney Love flew half way around the world to present Ellie with her Critics’ Choice Award – everybody knew there was a chart topper in the making.
A month after picking up her Critics’ Choice award her star continued to rocket upwards as her debut album Lights shot to the top of the UK Album Chart thanks to some incredible songs like this:
She covered BRIT Icon Elton John’s classic Your Song, and was asked by Prince William and Catherine Middleton to perform at their wedding reception on April 29, 2011 at Buckingham Palace.
With many of her tracks being remixed by dance producers, Ellie leant her voice to Skrillex’s huge anthem Summit. This was to be the first of many significant electronic collaborations as she’s also worked with the likes of Zedd and Calvin Harris on I Need Your Love.
In August 2013 Ellie finally had her first No. 1 Single when Burn went to the top and stayed there for three weeks.
