And the nominees for Critics' Choice 2014 are...
Chlöe Howl, Ella Eyre and Sam Smith have all been nominated for this year’s Critics’ Choice Award, which identifies the best future British music stars.Since the category’s introduction to the BRIT Awards in 2008, the winners - Adele, Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Emeli Sandé and Tom Odell - have become global success stories selling in excess of 13-million albums between them worldwide.
The Award is chosen by a team of industry experts including music editors of national newspapers, magazines and websites plus representatives from major TV and radio stations.
Artists are eligible for consideration if they are signed to a record label and are set to release their debut album in 2014. The final three were whittled down from more than 100-possibilities from a variety of genres.
This year’s winner will be announced on Thursday, December 12.
