Starting off the excitement is music icons The Rolling Stones, who unveiled not one but two Hyde Park concert dates July 7 and 13 in support of their 50th anniversary tour. Support will come from some of the country's biggest acts of the moment, including BRITs nominees Jake Bugg, Tom Odell and The Vaccines. Tickets for the first date sold out in minutes, and public onsale for the second open on Saturday 13 April at 12PM GMT.
The country's latest pop sweetheart and two-time BRITs nominee Jessie Ware released a banging new remix of her hit "Wildest Moments" with global rap superstar A$AP Rocky. Check out the track in the video below.
This week also marked a landmark event in digital music, as the UK reached its 1 billionth single download sold in the country, according to data tracked by the Official Charts Company. This milestone comes nine years after legal downloads launched in the uk which has seen a revolution in music consumption for music fans, artists, record labels and digital services alike.
2013's British Female and MasterCard Album of the Year winner Emeli Sande continues to dominate the UK album charts with Our Version of Events, with this week marking her 60th consecutive week in the Top 100 UK Album Chart. Toping the charts for his second consecutive week is 2013 BRITs performer Justin Timberlake with his critically acclaimed comeback album, The 20/20 Experience. Other BRITs chart toppers include 2013's British Group, Mumford & Sons and British Male and British Breakthrough winner Ben Howard.
